Canon Over Nikon?!
Ok ya’ll! I used to be a lover of Nikon, well I still totally am BUT……
Canon has been so simple and easy for new and advanced artists to use. The factory set buttons can be customizable but I keep them how they are. They are in very convenient places on the back side of the camera. For instance, the focus button is on the right side where your shutter is. So when you want to switch your focus point it is simple and you do not have to stop, and overthink. Having your buttons and dials on one side makes it simple for learning how to change your setting quickly during a shoot. If you shoot weddings, like me, which are generally fast paced… having a canon over Nikon can be much easier! I love my Full Frame!
I have it paired with the one and only Sigma Art 35mm 1.4. Meaning: Super freaking fast aperture which helps tremendously in low-light situations! This lens is my prime. I use it for everything including weddings! When it comes to my 24-70mm lens I usually just use that one for wedding ceremonies and that’s about it. The 35 is a sweet spot with me because I do family, wedding, newborn and even landscape from time to time. So having that Full Frame vs crop is important to me!
Guys, Canon is so much more user friendly! My Canon 6D Mark II beats my old Nikon by FAR! I have yet to try Sony out but I think in the future as technology advances I may end up choosing to go Mirrorless. For now I will stick with the Mark II.
What do you use?
