Private Crash Course for Photography
So I have a lot of students and other advanced photogs who ask about private lessons on photography. My private courses are approximately 1-2 hours depending on the student’s needs. Today I’ll list out everything that I go over during the first Crash Class for a beginner photographer. For each class I do have my students bring in their own DSLR camera or oftentimes I teach them how to use mine.
First thing and foremost, I will explain to you all of your buttons on your camera. No more trying to read that long-drawn out manual that doesn’t help you get anywhere. I will go over how to use your camera in morning, afternoon, and evening light through a slide-show and a print out that you can follow along with and take home with you later to study and practice.
Next I will get you to learn your camera in Manual mode. I jump right into this particular setting because if you want to get anywhere near shooting like a pro you will need to know how to use your camera to its maximum ability! Learning this setting will get you there must faster. You will learn what ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture are and why it’s important to know these.
Then we will jump outside and learn how to apply your settings to certain situations and I may bring a model in to help teach you, or we may use a still subject. You will get to understand certain angles for your subject and some neat creative tips and tricks.
After this, we will jump back into the classroom and do a Q&A until all (if not most) of your questions are answered! Want to book a course? Feel free to click the link below!
