Luna's Cake Smash!

Being a first-time parent, the first year celebrating is more about a celebration of you (the parent) making it through that rough first year. It’s so difficult that first few months and even harder the rest of the year. I mean, sure you are celebrating the first birthday of your little boogie- but to be honest- they have no idea what a birthday really is yet. Take the time to cherish the moments and capture as many unique photos as you can. If you need a margarita or four, don’t feel bad. This is life! Celebrate however you choose. Your child will understand later on in life why mommy ended up drunk on their first birthday-that is if you tell them. ;)

Relax knowing that your baby will soon be able to speak and communicate better with you. They will be able to walk and let you give your arms some time to relax. Most of all they will be able to help you clean your house! Lol Just kidding. If they do that you are one lucky parent!

Anyway, for this little cutie-pie; her parents decided to do a Unicorn birthday theme; because, well, who DOESN’T like UNICORNS?!

I think I might have taken way to many photos during this session because now I want to literally edit all 500+ pics. (Don’t worry Ashley, I may have to just put them all on a USB and give them to you rather then email.) This girl couldn’t be any more adorable in her unicorn attire! Her daddy even made her a cute little outfit all on his own! His artistic abilities reminded me of my very own father! I guess that’s where mine stemmed from. ;) Such a great dad!

It sort of breaks my heart that Luna is turning one this weekend. I mean it feels like yesterday that I was taking maternity photos of her sweet momma! Then in a blink of an eye I was swooning over the newborn portraits I did of her. WOW! How time flies!

So this is for you, sweet Luna-Kay! Happy First Birthday to you and I wish for you 100 more!
